  • Surah Al Baqarah (The Cow) Ayat 35


  • وَقُلْنَا
  • يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
  • ٱسْكُنْ
  • أَنتَ
  • وَزَوْجُكَ
  • ٱلْجَنَّةَ
  • وَكُلَا
  • مِنْهَا
  • رَغَدًا
  • حَيْثُ
  • شِئْتُمَا
  • وَلَا
  • تَقْرَبَا
  • هَٰذِهِ
  • ٱلشَّجَرَةَ
  • فَتَكُونَا
  • مِنَ
  • ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And We said: O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden and eat from it a plenteous (food) wherever you wish and do not approach this tree, for then you will be of the unjust.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression."
  • M.Pickthall: And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely (of the fruits) thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers.
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: And We said, `O Adam! dwell you and your wife in this garden and eat freely and plentifully from it as you will. But you shall not go near this tree (- evil) lest you should be of the unjust.´
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: And We said: O Adam, dwell thou and thy wife in the garden, and eat from it a plenteous (food) wherever you wish, and approach not this tree, lest you be of the unjust.
