Surah Al Layl (The Night) Ayat 8

وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah),
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient,
  • M.Pickthall: But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: But as for him who is niggardly (and cripples his capacities) and is (disdainfully) indifferent (to God and the Hereafter),
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: And rejects what is good --
