وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And were not willing to set aside a portion (for the poor).
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: But made no reservation, ("If it be Allah´s Will").
  • M.Pickthall: And made no exception (for the Will of Allah);
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: And (they were so sure of it that) they made no reservation (for the poor and did not say, `If it be Allâh´s will´).
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: So it became as black, barren land --
