Surah Al Waqiah (The Event) Ayat 45

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ

Muhammad Habib Shakir: Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali: For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury),

M.Pickthall: Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury

Amatul Rahmân Omer: They, of course, lived a life of ease and abundance before this (in the present world).

Maulana Mohammad Ali: Neither cool nor refreshing.
