  • Surah Ash Shuara (The Poets) Ayat 63


  • فَأَوْحَيْنَآ
  • إِلَىٰ
  • مُوسَىٰٓ
  • أَنِ
  • ٱضْرِب
  • بِّعَصَاكَ
  • ٱلْبَحْرَ
  • ۖ
  • فَٱنفَلَقَ
  • فَكَانَ
  • كُلُّ
  • فِرْقٍ
  • كَٱلطَّوْدِ
  • ٱلْعَظِيمِ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain.
  • M.Pickthall: Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast.
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: Then We revealed to Moses (saying), `Strike the sea with your staff. (And as he did) so it parted, and each part (of the two hosts) looked like a huge mound.
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Moses cried out: Surely we are overtaken.
