  • فَإِن
  • يَصْبِرُوا۟
  • فَٱلنَّارُ
  • مَثْوًى
  • لَّهُمْ
  • ۖ
  • وَإِن
  • يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟
  • فَمَا
  • هُم
  • مِّنَ
  • ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: Then if they will endure, still the fire is their abode, and if they ask for goodwill, then are they not of those who shall be granted goodwill.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received.
  • M.Pickthall: And though they are resigned, yet the Fire is still their home; and if they ask for favour, yet they are not of those unto whom favour can be shown.
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: Now, if (in this state of theirs) they show patience (even then) the Fire is their resort. And if they ask to be allowed to approach the threshold (of God´s Throne) they will not be of those who are allowed to approach the threshold (to seek His forgiveness and mercy).
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: And that, your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord, ruined you, so have you become of the lost ones?
