أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖ أَفَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِى

Muhammad Habib Shakir: So that you did not follow me? Did you then disobey my order?

Abdullah Yusuf Ali: "From following me? Didst thou then disobey my order?"

M.Pickthall: That thou followedst me not? Hast thou then disobeyed my order?

Amatul Rahmân Omer: `From following me (and punishing them)? Dared you then disobey my biddings?´

Maulana Mohammad Ali: (Moses) said: O Aaron, what prevented thee, when thou sawest them going astray,
