  • وَلَقَدْ
  • اَرْسَلْنَا
  • نُوحًا
  • اِلٰى
  • قَوْمِه۪
  • فَلَبِثَ
  • ف۪يهِمْ
  • اَلْفَ
  • سَنَةٍ
  • اِلَّا
  • خَمْس۪ينَ
  • عَامًاۜ
  • فَاَخَذَهُمُ
  • الطُّوفَانُ
  • وَهُمْ
  • ظَالِمُونَ
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: And we indeed sent Noah to his people and he (- his teachings) stayed among them for (as long as) a thousand years short of fifty years (- nine hundred and fifty years). While his people were steeped in wrongdoings they were caught in the Deluge.
