  • قَالَ
  • يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ
  • مَا
  • مَنَعَكَ
  • أَن
  • تَسْجُدَ
  • لِمَا
  • خَلَقْتُ
  • بِيَدَىَّ
  • ۖ
  • أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ
  • أَمْ
  • كُنتَ
  • مِنَ
  • ٱلْعَالِينَ
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: (God) said, `O Iblîs! what prevented you from submitting to him whom I have created with My own special powers (bestowing him with the maximum attributes). Is it that you seek to be great or is it that you are (really) of the highly proud ones (above obeying My command)?´
