Surah Al Maarij (The Ways of Ascent) Ayat 17

تَدْعُوا۟ مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: It shall claim him who turned and fled (from truth),
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Inviting (all) such as turn their backs and turn away their faces (from the Right).
  • M.Pickthall: It calleth him who turned and fled (from truth),
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: It will claim the person (for consumption) who drew back (from accepting the truth) and turned away (refusing to obey).
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: Surely man is created impatient --
