  • وَاِذْ
  • قَالَ
  • مُوسٰى
  • لِقَوْمِه۪ٓ
  • اِنَّ
  • اللّٰهَ
  • يَأْمُرُكُمْ
  • اَنْ
  • تَذْبَحُوا
  • بَقَرَةًۜ
  • قَالُٓوا
  • اَتَتَّخِذُنَا
  • هُزُوًاۜ
  • قَالَ
  • اَعُوذُ
  • بِاللّٰهِ
  • اَنْ
  • اَكُونَ
  • مِنَ
  • الْجَاهِل۪ينَ
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: (Recall) when Moses said to his people for their own good, `Verily, Allâh commands you to slaughter a cow.´ They said, `Do you make a mockery of us?´ He said, `I seek refuge with Allâh from being (one) of the ignorant.´
