وَقَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَٰلًا وَأَوْلَٰدًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Muhammad Habib Shakir:
And they say: We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali:
They said: "We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished."
M.Pickthall:
And they say: We are more (than you) in wealth and children. We are not the punished!
Amatul Rahmân Omer:
And they (also) say, `We are better off in respect of wealth and children (as compared with others) and we are not at all going to be made to suffer.´
Maulana Mohammad Ali:
And We never sent a warner to a town but those who led easy lives in it said: We are disbelievers in that with which you are sent.
