وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَٰكِرُونَ
Muhammad Habib Shakir:
And We taught him the making of coats of mail for you, that they might protect you in your wars; will you then be grateful?
Abdullah Yusuf Ali:
It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other´s violence: will ye then be grateful?
M.Pickthall:
And We taught him the art of making garments (of mail) to protect you in your daring. Are ye then thankful?
Amatul Rahmân Omer:
And We taught him (the art of) making coats of mail for you (people), that they designed to fortify you against (one another´s) violence (in your wars). Will you then be grateful?
Maulana Mohammad Ali:
So We made Solomon to understand it. And to each (of them) We gave wisdom and knowledge. And We made the mountains, declaring (Our) glory, and the birds, subservient to David. And We were the Doers.
